Recurring major accidents in industry have shown inadequate assessment of system risk due to lack of monitoring and motivated the development of innovative approaches for Dynamic Risk Analysis (DRA).
Today’s technologies from industry 4.0 allow for a major step forward within DRA. Wireless sensor networks, cyber-physical systems, internet of things, cloud computing and machine learning are the most appealing solutions for collection and decision in monitoring applications.
The main tasks of the Postdoctoral fellow will be:
(i) develop advanced models for DRA in industry 4.0 in collaboration with relevant industrial companies;
(ii) coordinate the PhD students involved in relevant projects.
Background in Industrial Engineering or industry-applied ICT is welcome.
The PostDoc fellow will be affliliated to the risk assessment group, which is currently composed by 1 associate professor and 6 PhD students, and has close connections with industry.
The position is awarded for a period of 2 years and is remunerated according to the Norwegian State salary scale. There is a 2% deduction for superannuation contribution.
