Our special luncheon speaker will be Kay Lawrence, Chief of the Emergency Preparedness and Prevention Section at US EPA Region 9, who will talk about “The Risk Management Plan (RMP) Regulation As we Approach 15 Years – Where We’ve Been and Where We’re Going”.  Steve Cutcheon, a CSB investigator who played a key role in the Chevron-Richmond investigation, will talk about the recently released Interim Report on the Richmond Investigation, the Crude Unit Piping Corrosion Reports on Chevron-Richmond and El Segundo and the April Public Meeting in Richmond.  Dr. Yufang Jin, lead principal investigator on a joint UCI-UCLA-JPL project supported by NASA will talk about her work in using climate models to predict Southern California Wildland Fires.  Dr. Yue Rong, the UST Section Chief at the LA RWQCB, will share a local perspective on the Low-Threat Petroleum UST Case Closure guidance.
