SRA’s Emerging Nanoscale Materials Specialty Group presents this opportunity to explore a multiple models approach to risk analysis for nanoscale materials. Poster submission and presenter registration deadline is September 1; general registration is open online until September 3.
Human health risk assessment, ecological risk assessment, and exposure risk assessment for nanoscale materials will be considered by distinguished panelists from around the globe representing diverse expert perspectives. The event will take place at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University.
The goals of the workshop are “to inform the development of guidance for using ATS [alternative testing strategies] in hazard characterization and risk assessment” and “to meet the pressing need for reliable and reproducible methods for screening biological and environmental behaviors” of nanoscale materials as they evolve, according to an earlier announcement by workshop co-organizer Jo Anne Shatkin, Vireo Advisors.
Earlybird registration discounts and student travel awards are available for this important risk assessment event.
