They were from eight countries including China, United States, UK, Germany, Canada, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Mexico. After rigorous peer review, CRC Press subsequently published 77 papers.

The two-day conference consisted of six keynote speeches and four parallel sessions. All participants enthusiastically presented their research and discussed with vigor amongst each other. The topics included: economic risk, catastrophic accidents, debt crisis, public health, scientific uncertainty, threats to social safety, humanitarian logistics, terrorism events, managing developmental risks, emerging risks, risk evaluation modeling, energy resources, multi-criteria risk assessment, food and food safety, risk radar, global climate change, internet of intelligences, Islamic banking, and natural disasters. The meeting was unanimously declared a great success. It was also decided that the 6th International Conference on Risk Analysis and Crisis Response (RACR-2017) would be held two years later, in 2017.

A post conference field trip was graciously organized by Abdelmalek Essaadi University and featured Chefchaouen city. This beautiful and historic fortress is located in northwest Morocco and all participants were deeply impressed by the natural and cultural landscapes. We at SRA-China would like to extend a special thank you to the hospitality of the University.
