The World Health Organization announces the formation of a new worldwide network for chemical risk assessment.
According to to WHO, more than 25% of the global burden of disease is linked to environmental factors, including exposure to chemicals. This network is intended to improve chemical risk assessment by providing a forum for information exchange, facilitating capacity building, promoting best practices, identifying research needs and emerging human health risks, and supporting WHO’s training in furthering these objectives.
Institutional participation by groups engaged in human health risk assessment is invited. For more information, access the relevant WHO page here.
