Risk Analysis in the News

The SRA Communications Committee has supported media outreach efforts on two recent news releases from articles that appear in Risk Analysis, the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) journal, one on sea level rise in Washington, DC, and one on college students’ willingness to get the H1N1 vaccine.

The first news release, “Long-Term Sea Level Rise in Washington, D.C. Could Have Significant Impact” (http://www.newswise.com/articles/long-term-sea-level-rise-in-washington-...), was based on the article “Prediction and Impact of Sea Level Rise on Properties and Infrastructure of Washington, DC” by researchers Bilal Ayyub, Haralamb G. Braileanu, and Naeem Qureshi of the University of Maryland (http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1539-6924.2011.01710.x/full).
