MSU Announces August Workshop on Microbial Risk Assessment

The U.S. National Institutes of Health funded Quantitative Microbial Risk Assessment Interdisciplinary Instructional Institute (QMRI III) at Michigan State University announces a 10-day workshop August 1-12, 2015.

The workshop is designed to convey underlying concepts of how to use scientific data to perform a risk assessment for assuring safety and health goals. QMRA III is designed for advanced graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and early-career professionals. Participants will gain hands-on experience with a host of risk assessment software options and other tools. No prior computational experience is assumed. The workshop fee is $250 and travel from within the U.S., lodging and meals will be provided. The fee can be waived in cases of financial need. Applications are due March 31, 2015.
