Presentation Information

Presentation Guidelines:

Below is information to help you prepare to participate in this year’s annual meeting. We are glad you are with us and hope the experience is a good one.

All oral presenters must submit their presentation before presenting. We will contact you about the process around this in January.

Change in speaker or cancellation: As a courtesy to the audience and your session chair, please let us know as soon as possible if your presentation changes. If there is some last-minute difficulty, please arrange for someone else to present your paper rather than cancelling it.

To make changes or cancel your abstract: Email contact@sraanz.org.nz

All persons attending the Annual Meeting must pay the appropriate registration fee as indicated on the registration form. All presenters must register by December 16th for the meeting to ensure the publication of their abstract in the final program.

Oral Presentation Guidelines:

Your presentation is limited to fifteen minutes, and this includes time for questions.

You must report to the room where the session will be held 10 minutes before the session begins. Session chairs will start and end every speaker on time, so please plan accordingly.

All session rooms will have an LCD projector and a computer for the presentations. Your presentation will be preloaded on the computer in your session room.

Poster Presentation Guidelines:

  • Each presenter will be assigned a 4′ high x 8′ wide section of a poster board. Boards may be an inch smaller in either direction due to a border.
  • All lettering should be legible from 5 feet away. The minimum type size should be 18 points, and the style should be bold or semibold in simple, clean-looking type. Text material can be typed at about 12 points and then enlarged on a copying machine to as large as 24 points without significant loss of clarity.
  • Each author is responsible for the assembly and removal of his/her poster.
  • It is important to adhere to the following set-up/teardown times:
  • Set-up: Thursday (time TBA)
  • Teardown: Friday (time TBA)
  • Presenters should bring their materials to attach illustrations to the poster boards (tacks/pins). Please do not use tape. Materials left after the removal deadlines will be taken down and stored as carefully as possible. However, SRA accepts no responsibility for material that may be lost or damaged. Please remove your materials on schedule.
