The National Capital Area Chapter (NCAC) of the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) serves as a forum and gathering place for SRA members in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region. The NCAS sponsors local seminars and discussion group meetings and convenes socially on Tuesday evening at the SRA Annual Meeting.
By its proximity to the seat of the United State government, the NCAC can draw on the experience of SRA members who are current or retired senior policy makers from across the executive branch of government, Congressional agencies, and the expertise of risk assessors from the many academic programs in the area, think tanks, and others who influence risk and risk management decisions. In the coming year, the NCAC plans to host a mini symposium on silica, silicosis and lung cancer based on historical and contemporary risk assessment, and the application of the risk assessment into regulatory strategies.
The dues for the NCAC are $15 per year. The NCAC can be joined when you join or renew your membership in the SRA. Click the button below to join now!
