    Anu Bradford is Henry L. Moses Professor of Law and International Organizations at Columbia Law School, a Director for Columbia’s European Legal Studies Center, and a Senior Scholar at Jerome A. Chazen Institute for Global Business at Columbia Business School. Bradford is also a nonresident scholar in the Europe Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Her research focuses on international trade law, European Union law and comparative and international antitrust law. 

    Bradford earned her S.J.D. (2007) and LL.M. (2002) degrees from Harvard Law School and also holds a law degree from the University of Helsinki. After completing her LL.M. studies as a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard Law School, Bradford practiced antitrust law and European Union law at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in Brussels before returning to Harvard for her doctoral studies. She has also served as an adviser on economic policy in the Parliament of Finland and as an expert assistant to a member of the European Parliament. Bradford is the author of “The Brussels Effect: How the European Union Rules the World” (OUP 2020), which was named one of the Best Books of 2002 by Foreign Affairs.

    Nancy Beck

    Nancy is a PhD toxicologist with over twenty years of applied public health experience. She has held senior leadership positions at the White House and at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). As a principal executive and policy advisor to the EPA Administrator in the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, Nancy led the TSCA team in the development of science-based approaches to the TSCA program and brought together and formalized an Interagency Working Group to advance the Endangered Species Act (ESA) consultation process for pesticides. Nancy is currently serving as the Director of Regulatory Science at Hunton Andrews Kurth, Nancy provides advice on chemicals, pesticides, contaminants, and consumer product safety issues. Nancy applies her experiences and knowledge to help clients address high-level regulatory and compliance issues, as well as concerns related to environmental policy
    and chemical and pesticide risk evaluations and regulations.

    Lynn Fortin

    Lynn Fortin is currently responsible for bilateral Canada-EU agriculture issues at the Canadian Mission to the EU in Brussels.  She started in this role 2017. Lynn has worked in trade policy for the Canadian Government since 1999 and has been with the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food since 2005. She holds a master’s degree in International Political Economy from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs.

    Dr. Geoffrey Podger

    Geoffrey Podger is an experienced leader of regulatory organizations having been Chief Executive of the British Health and Safety Executive and the first Chief Executive of the UK Food Standards Agency. He was the first Executive Director of the European Food Safety Authority employed by the European Union and also worked for many years in the UK on EU regulatory matters before the UK departure from the European Union. His current posts include being Head of the UK Delegation to the Intergovernmental Commission on the Channel Tunnel which includes regulatory oversight of the Tunnel.
