The Hazard and Dose-Response Specialty Group (HDRSG) was founded in 1994 as the Dose-Response Specialty Group. This group provides a venue for discussion of advancements in dose-response methodology for chemical, physical, or microbial stressors, and related work to investigate the mechanisms of toxicity, development of dosimetric extrapolation methods, and approaches for extrapolation to low levels of exposure. We also provide a space those interested in the use of in silico and in vitro methods to identify chemical hazards and the use of those systems to develop traditional chemical risk metrics.
Our teleseminars are usually held in March, June, and September in place of our regular monthly teleconferences from 12:00-1:00 PM (U.S. Eastern time) on the first Tuesday of the month. All are welcome to participate in the teleseminars and our monthly discussions of annual meeting symposia, student awards, and other business.
Updated Bylaws
Thank you to the specialty group members who reviewed and voted to accept the updates to our Bylaws recently. We hope that the name change to the Hazard and Dose-Response Specialty Group draws attention to the expanded scope of the group. We are excited to see what the future has in store for this group as we enter its 30th year.
